Daniella Casseres Named to Washington Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 List
We are excited to announce that Mitchell Sandler partner Daniella Casseres has been named to the Washington Business Journal’s 2022 40 Under 40 List. As one of the most competitive award programs in the Journal’s slate each year with over 400 submissions, it recognizes business owners, CEOs, nonprofit executives, attorneys, and other corporate leaders who are “making waves in the Greater Washington area.”
A member of Mitchell Sandler’s all-women management committee, Daniella leads the firm’s national mortgage regulatory practice group, advising mortgage lenders, financial institutions, and consumer finance companies on regulatory compliance and enforcement matters. Bringing the insight of a former banking regulator at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to her work, she regularly counsels clients on state and federal laws relating to fair lending, advertising, licensing, and privacy, and has experience helping mortgage lenders and others comply with requirements under the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Bank Secrecy Act, and state regulatory requirements.
Daniella joined Mitchell Sandler in January from Offit Kurman, where she chaired the financial institutions regulatory group and was the youngest female shareholder in the firm’s 34-year history. Among other honors, Daniella was recently recognized by HousingWire as a Woman of Influence for her leadership in the mortgage lending regulatory field. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars, and has written for leading publications in the mortgage industry.
